Fifty-three graduates of Ivy Tech Community College’s Licensed Practical Nursing and Associate of Science in Nursing classes were pinned during a special pinning ceremony, held on December 15, 2011, in the auditorium of Columbus East High School. Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus student Megan Loveday was recently inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, the honor society for two-year college students.
Phi Theta Kappa is the only nationally acclaimed honor society serving two-year colleges offering associate degree programs. Founded in 1918, Phi Theta Kappa currently operates with 1,250 chapters in the United States and abroad. (more…)

Ten residents of Nashville were named to the Dean’s List for this past fall semester at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus. The college names to the Dean’s List any degree-seeking student who has accumulated 12 or more earned credit hours, is enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours during the term involved, and earns a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Students named to the fall semester 2009 Dean’s List are Catherine Acree, Jennifer Bodkin, Amber Brock, Leigh Brown, Leslie Campbell, Kathy Grimes, Maggie Harrison, Elizabeth Kelley, Cara Miller, and Tiffany Seaman.
Three Nashville residents are summer Ivy Tech-Columbus graduates

Three Nashville residents became graduates of Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus following the summer 2009 term.
Nicole Bowman received a technical certificate in medical assisting, Shannon Brunton received an associate of arts in liberal arts (cum laude), and Genevieve Day received an associate of science in nursing (cum laude).
The term cum laude indicates a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.74.
