Anthony Gaudin, Ph.D., Professor of Biology at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, has been honored as the recipient of this years’ President’s Award. Julie Bilz, assistant professor of education at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, has been elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Community College Teacher Education Programs (NACCTEP). NACCTEP is an organization of community colleges, staff and students, universities, and industry partners and professional associations involved with teacher education programs. The mission of the organization is to promote the community college role in the recruitment, preparation, retention, and renewal of diverse Pre K-12 teachers and to advance quality teacher education programs in the community college.
Bilz will serve on the board as a member-at-large for the 2010-2011 term.

Steven Bardonner, Department Chair of Design Technology and Mechanical Engineering Technology at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, has received the Education Champion Trophy from Innovation First Inc. for robotics workshops that have taught more than 800 school teachers across the state how to incorporate robotics into their math, science, and technology curricula.
