Michael Siegel, Ph.D., has accepted the position of dean of the School of Health Sciences at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus. Janet Burton Receives the Academic of Medical-Surgical Nurses President’s Award

Ivy Tech’s Charles Sims receives statewide award

Charles Sims, Chair of the Paramedic Sciences program at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, has received the David J. Edwards Memorial Primary Instructor of the Year award from the Department of Homeland Security for the State of Indiana.  The award was presented to him at the Indiana Emergency Response Conference on August 21 at the Indiana Convention Center.  The award honors individuals for their dedication to providing students with the knowledge and skills needed to be proficient in pre-hospital care. Wendy Cain promoted to Program Chair at Ivy Tech-Columbus

Wendy Cain has been promoted to program chair of the science department at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus.  In this position, she will be responsible for supervising departmental full-time and adjunct faculty, support staff, and students; managing program enrollment, administration, and human resources for the department; and coordinating with academic and non-academic departments.  She will officially begin her duties in August.
