Cindy Casey receives Leaving a Legacy Award from Ivy Tech-Columbus/Franklin

Ivy Tech-Columbus Chancellor John Hogan receives award from Hoosier Youth ChalleNGe Academy

Dr. John Hogan, Chancellor of Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, received an award from the Hoosier Youth ChalleNGe Academy in Edinburgh during a reception for the college’s statewide trustees at Zaharako’s last night. Ivy Tech’s Julie Bilz elected to board of National Association of Community College Teacher Education Programs

Julie Bilz, assistant professor of education at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, has been elected to the board of directors of the National Association of Community College Teacher Education Programs (NACCTEP). NACCTEP is an organization of community colleges, staff and students, universities, and industry partners and professional associations involved with teacher education programs. The mission of the organization is to promote the community college role in the recruitment, preparation, retention, and renewal of diverse Pre K-12 teachers and to advance quality teacher education programs in the community college.
Bilz will serve on the board as a member-at-large for the 2010-2011 term.
