Cindy Casey, Executive Assistant to the Chancellor for Community Engagement, has been honored by having a room in the main Ivy Tech-Columbus building named after her. Retiring after 33 years of service, Casey thanked the crowd of attendees at a farewell reception on May 27. The room that has been named after her is the Ivy Tech Student Success Center, and the plaque, which will be placed in the room, reads, “Cindy Casey Student Success Center – In recognition for outstanding support of Ivy Tech Community College – Columbus Region.”
During her years of service to Ivy Tech, Casey has served as assistant student services coordinator, admissions coordinator, dean of student affairs, executive dean of the campus, executive director for administration, and executive assistant for community engagement and service learning.
