Anna Montgomery, a 2010 graduate of Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, was honored in three different ways for her academic achievement at Ivy Tech’s Annual Awards & Recognition Reception, held on April 30 at the Holiday Inn in Columbus. She was selected to be a member of the All-Indiana Academic Team through an academic competition sponsored by Phi Theta Kappa, an international honor society for two-year colleges, USA Today, and the American Association of Community Colleges. Students are selected based on academic honors, leadership and work experience, and a submitted essay.
Montgomery was also named a 2010 Coca-Cola National Finalist. Selection as a Coca-Cola Finalist is based on scores earned in the All-USA Academic Team competition. This program is sponsored by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation and is administered by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
She also was named the Outstanding Graduate in the visual communications program for the 2009-2010 academic year at Ivy Tech. This award is based on academic performance and overall exemplary achievement.
