David Bowden, artistic director of the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic, will speak to the music appreciation class of John Glennon, adjunct instructor at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, on Friday, December 4. He will discuss programming, booking talent, program notes, managing and funding non-profit organizations, and the process of putting together an orchestral program. Additionally, he will discuss the challenges an orchestra faces as a non-profit in meeting its expenses.
