Take a virtual tour of the exhibit.The School of Fine Arts & Design at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus has produced “exceeding expectations,” an art exhibition in which the works of 25 of its alumni are featured in 52 pieces of art. The pieces have been hung in hallways and meeting spaces throughout the Columbus Learning Center, 4555 Central Avenue in Columbus; the exhibit will remain until December 31. A reception is scheduled for Thursday, October 22, from 6:00 until 7:00 pm in the Summerville Room at the Learning Center. The public is welcome.
The pieces represent a variety of media and types of art, including photography, graphic design, website design, oil landscapes, furniture, and pop-art graphics. The client list of these alumni includes Target, Eli Lilly, People Magazine, Time Magazine, USA Today, and the New York Times, among many others; locally, they include Zaharako’s, IUPUC, The Republic, and Cummins.
