The headcount at the Columbus region of Ivy Tech Community College topped 5,000 on the first day of fall semester classes. The final number was, 5,028, which represents a 47 percent increase over the 3,428 headcount of the first day of fall 2008 classes. Headcount in Ivy Tech Community College – Columbus classes in Jackson County is up 116 percent this fall as compared to last fall. A total of 320 students were enrolled on the first day of classes this fall; 148 students were enrolled at the same time last fall. Ivy Tech classes have been scheduled at Seymour High School, the First Church of the Nazarene, and Schneck Medical Center as a result of ongoing partnerships between Ivy Tech Community College and the community. Ivy Tech Community College offers Plumbing Certification Testing

Ivy Tech Community College has entered into a statewide agreement with International Code Council (ICC) Testing to conduct Indiana Plumbing Testing at our centers, effective August 1st. Exams to be administered are the Indiana Journeyman Plumber and the Indiana Plumbing Contractor.
These licensing exams, if passed, qualify the candidate for that particular license in the State of Indiana. The exams are web-based and are administered through the Certification and Assessment Center of Ivy Tech-Columbus.
Candidates can schedule online at http://www.icctesting.com/icccandidate.htm. Scheduling may also be made by phoning 866-750-2579. The cost for the Indiana Journeyman Plumber exam is $130.00; the cost for the Indian Plumbing Contractor exam is $150.00.
