Steven Bardonner, chair of the design technology program at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus and a former patient of Riley Hospital for Children, has been asked to serve as a board member for  “Rods for Riley,” a classic car show that will raise money to support the hospital foundation.  The event will be held on June 20, from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm, at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin.

Proceeds raised from the event will be used for a variety of purposes, including funding research, helping families with medical expenses, and helping to make the healing environment a happier, more comfortable place for the children.  General admission to the event is free; the fee to enter a classic car is $20; sponsorship levels range from $250 to $5,000.

This is the second year for the car show, and approximately 80 cars are expected to enter, according to Bardonner.  For more information, to download an entry form, or to view the photo gallery from last year’s event, visit www.RodsForRiley.org.
