Marian Canada, an adjunct faculty member in business at Ivy Tech-Columbus, was honored as the Ivy Tech-Columbus Outstanding Faculty Member at the Annual Awards Recognition Reception on April 30. One adjunct faculty member was selected as the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty member in each program offered at Ivy Tech; Canada was selected as both the Outstanding Adjunct in her program of business and also for the campus as a whole. All of the adjunct faculty honored were selected as a result of the quality of their teaching, their ability to connect with students, the positive impact they have on their students, and their dedication to the profession of teaching.

Alice Taulman and Phillip Martinez, Johnson County residents and adjunct faculty at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, were named Outstanding Adjunct Faculty at the Annual Awards Recognition Reception on April 30. Taulman serves as adjunct faculty in remedial math; Martinez, as adjunct faculty in liberal arts and sciences.

Ivy Tech Community College will hold its 39th Commencement at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 9, at Franklin Community High School. This will be the first year that the event will be held in Franklin; the College has outgrown both Columbus East and Columbus North High Schools. Ivy Tech officials are excited to hold the event in Franklin, especially because Ivy Tech now has a campus in Franklin. (more…)
