Jan Gross, Rodney Ewing named Outstanding Adjunct Faculty at Ivy Tech-Columbus

Jan Gross and Rodney Ewing, Columbus residents and adjunct faculty at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus, were named Outstanding Adjunct Faculty at the Annual Awards Recognition Reception on April 30.  One adjunct faculty member was selected as the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty member in each program offered at Ivy Tech.  Faculty were selected as a result of the quality of their teaching, their ability to connect with students, the positive impact they have on their students, and their dedication to the profession of teaching.

Gross serves as adjunct faculty in health sciences and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oklahoma.  She is lauded for “going the extra mile” to teach the difficult courses of medical assisting lab techniques and phlebotomy.  Her wealth of knowledge, her patience, her skill level, and her willingness to meet students outside of class time were primary reasons she was chosen for this honor.

Ewing, serves as adjunct faculty in technology; he holds a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Louisville.  He was selected for the honor based on his dedication to students, his dedication to the program, his teaching style, and feedback by the students.
