Ivy Tech schedules placement testing dates for ESL Bridge Program

Placement testing dates have been established for the English as a Second Language Bridge Program at Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus.  The purpose of the new ESL Bridge Program is to provide academic preparation to individuals having limited English language proficiency.  The program will begin in the fall; the credit division begins on August 24, and the non-credit division begins on September 8.

Instructional components include English, reading, writing, and listening/speaking.  Enrollment in these classes is determined by placement testing, which is offered each semester for students who wish to enroll the following semester.  Upcoming ESL placement test dates are June 1, 1:00-4:00 pm; June 30, 4:00-7:00 pm; and August 1, 1:00-4:00 pm.  Other testing times may be scheduled by calling Debbie East, program coordinator, at 812-374-5183.
