Student Success Story: Barry Richmond

Barry Richmond was honored by being named the 2007 Distinguished Alumnus of Ivy Tech Community College – Columbus Region.  Barry received an associate degree in HVAC technology from Ivy Tech in 1980, and a bachelor’s degree in human relations management and master’s degree in management from Oakland City University in 1995 and 2001, respectively.  (more…)

Nine Bartholomew County Ivy Tech students receive Outstanding Graduate Award

Nine Bartholomew County residents have been selected as Outstanding Graduates in their programs by Ivy Tech Community College-Columbus.  The Outstanding Graduate award is based on exemplary academic achievement, demonstrating creativity, mentoring other students, overcoming significant challenges, being a good ambassador for Ivy Tech, and community involvement.  The selection process is highly competitive, and only one graduate from each academic program is selected.  The Outstanding Graduates will wear honor cords during graduation, scheduled for May 9, and will lead the other students in their programs in the procession onto the stage during the ceremony.
