Ivy Tech enrollments at Franklin soar

Additional courses in design technology, early childhood education, and liberal arts were added to accommodate the demand, according to Scott Neal, Franklin Site Director. The Columbus campus of Ivy Tech as a whole has experienced a 47% headcount increase over last year at this same time. On the first day of spring semester, 2008, the headcount was 2,974; on the first day of this semester, it was 4,383.

“Ivy Tech is continuing to experience record growth due to a number of factors: the tremendous demand for associate degrees with transferable credits, giving students an affordable start to a four-year degree, the desire to upgrade skills to improve marketability, the increased number of programs offered, and the increased awareness of the quality of our faculty and services,” said Dr. John Hogan, Chancellor of Ivy Tech. “We look forward to continuing to serve the residents of south central Indiana to the best of our ability.”
